The Turboflotor 5000 Shorties have been developed from the successful Turboflotor 5000 as under the cabinet models. They close the gap between the Turboflotor 1000 multi - for aquariums up to 150 gal and the Turboflotor 5000 baby for aquariums from 250 - 500 gal. The Shorties are manufactured in 2 sizes to fit into most aquarium cabinets. Like the larger models, they are supplied with a venturi pump and our patented needle wheel. The pump takes the water from the skimmer and mixes it with air in the pump housing. The needle wheel ensures perfect mixing and very fine air bubbles. The water supply to the skimmer requires a second pump with a capacity of minimum 500 gph. The skimmer may also be directly connected to the overflow of the aquarium. Particularly on use of high performance circulation pumps a bypass is recommended, so that the inlet quantity can be adjusted.   Turboflotor 5000 Shorty 2: up to 400 gallons capacity - 29" Height
