Iodine is an essential trace element for corals, higher algae and especially for crustacea. Iodine quickly oxidizes making it unstable. Reef Life Iodine was therefore developed as a three component iodide additive, releasing its components sequentially to allow continuous assimilation by animals and plants. Iodide ions and elementary iodine are available immediately and even after several days the third component provides long term stable organic iodine.

250 ml (c. 8.4 oz) of Reef Life Iodine can treat a 100 gallon aquarium for up to 3 months.
