Salifert Strontium contains strontium sulphate blended with other ingredients which will not disturb the ionic balance of the water. The form is significantly more effective and less toxic than commonly used strontium chloride. When used in conjunction with Salifert’s Coral Calcium Additive the need for strontium measurement is greatly reduced and needs to be carried out only once every few months.

Salifert Boron is an essential element and this Salifert Additive contains blended, boron containing salts. This additive does not contain the toxic boric acid compound but is, within 24 hours, gradually converted to the desired boric acid. This method has several advantages since, when added to the aquarium a locally high concentration will be present until evenly mixed throughout the whole aquarium. If the additive was boric acid then some slight but temporary toxic effect could take place, a danger prevented with the Salifert additive. Available in 250 ml size.

Salifert Magnesium is ultra pure and does not imbalance the system It corrects the concentration of magnesium and the ionic balance. Contains blended magnesium salts. Available in 500 ml size.

Salifert Trace Soft is especially formulated for soft/leather corals and calcareous algae. Can be mixed with Trace Hard.

Salifert Coral Grower is an easy to use, economic mix of Coral Calcium, Strontium, Trace Soft, Trace Hard and Bio Coral.

Salifert Trace Hard is especially formulated for hard/stony corals. Can be mixed with Trace Soft. Available in 500 ml size.

Salifert’s Coral Calcium additive is manufactured using a very special and exclusive procedure. This results in a highly concentrated additive that not only makes calcium addition easy, but also avoids any disturbance in the ionic balance (as calcium chloride does) and without affecting the pH level (as calcium hydroxide does).

Salifert Iodine is highly concentrated and contains a large proportion of iodate and also some iodide in the same proportions as natural sea water. Both are present as their calcium salt as iodate is complexed with calcium in natural sea water and also, by using calcium salts, no ionic imbalance is created as it would be if potassium or sodium salts are used.

Salifert Kh+Ph Buffer safely increases the alkalinity and carbonate hardness in the water as well as establishing the level of pH. Within 24 hours the aquarium will acquire the pH corresponding to other aquarium parameters. Should the pH be found to be low within 24 hours of corrective measures then an insufficient gaseous exchange (inefficient aeration) is quite often the cause and the relevant measures should be taken. If used as directed, too much unnecessary precipitation of various elements including strontium, barium and magnesium is avoided. Available in 250 ml size.

Salifert Phosphate Eliminator binds phosphate and is removed by skimming more effectively than normal. When dosed, it immediately makes phosphate unavailable to algae. It also avoids binding of phosphate to corals, live rock and sand, increasing the ability of corals and calcareous algae to grow much faster. The phosphate bound by this supplement and not removed by skimming within 24 hours will be set free again by bacterial action. This will be especially the case when dealing with a rather high phosphate concentration. Daily dosage is required in such cases. Increased phosphate concentration in the skimmed foam will be observed a couple of hours after Phosphate Eliminator has been dosed.
